Invocare Privacy Collection Notice
InvoCare Australia Pty Limited (ACN 060 060 031) (InvoCare) uses OneRoom Limited (New Zealand company 2079025) (OneRoom) as our third-party service provider to deliver live streamed funerals and video recordings of InvoCare funerals to you. InvoCare owns various funeral businesses operated under brands including White Lady Funerals, Simplicity Funerals, Guardian Funerals and more. See our full list of brands here. InvoCare also sells prepaid funeral packages through Guardian Plan. These businesses are all part of the InvoCare Group.
When you enter OneRoom’s funeral streaming platform to watch an InvoCare funeral, and enter your personal information into a webform, InvoCare collects this personal information about you from OneRoom when you submit the form to register to watch the funeral. OneRoom exclusively collects this information on InvoCare’s behalf for the purpose of providing streaming and related services to InvoCare, and does not use your personal information for any other purposes.
InvoCare collects this personal information about you from OneRoom so we have a record of who watched the funeral, and to ensure we comply with our legal and contractual obligations (including under music licenses we hold). We may share this information with the family of the deceased or the person who engaged us to provide the funeral services so that they have a record of who attended the live stream of the funeral. As such you may be contacted directly by such persons (for example, to thank you for your attendance).
We may also be required to share this information with music collecting licencing bodies and our licensors in connection with our licensing arrangements
How we use your information if you request more information about InvoCare’s products and services: If you voluntarily opt-in to receive further information about InvoCare’s prepaid funeral plans from Guardian Plan, Guardian Plan will also use your personal information to contact you via the email or phone number you have provided.
In particular:
- Guardian Plan 1800 220 888 may contact you on the number you provided to discuss your needs and give you information about prepaid funeral plans offered by Guardian Plan (part of the InvoCare Group). Guardian Plan will call during its customer care operating hours which are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday;
- Guardian Plan may use the email which you have provided to register for the livestream to email you information about prepaid funeral plans offered by Guardian Plan as part of the InvoCare Group; and
- InvoCare may use the postcode you provided to register so it can better select a Guardian Plan prepaid specialist from a nearby location to call you.
In this case, we may also share your personal information with other InvoCare Group members in order to respond to your request for us to contact you about your needs (if you have requested this). For example, you may have attended a White Lady Funeral, but in order to best respond to your request and your specific needs, we will share your information with Guardian Plan to call or email you about your request.
Important points regarding opting out: You are always in control of the marketing communications which you receive and can opt-out at any time. Generally, you can opt-out by following the relevant opt-out or unsubscribe instructions in the relevant communication (such as email), or if you have requested that we call you, you can let us know if you do not wish to receive further calls. You can also contact us using the details set out below to tell us you would like to stop receiving direct marketing communications from us.
Importantly, regardless of whether you opt-out from receiving any or all direct marketing communications, we will still communicate with you if we are required by law to provide you with information, or in relation to products or services we are providing you with under any other agreement or engagement with you (including under our other brand names).
If you are a customer of multiple Brands across the InvoCare Group (for example, you have engaged Patch & Purr for your pet’s cremation and separately request that we contact you about prepaid funeral plans), even if you opt out from receiving direct marketing communications about prepaid funeral plans, this will not mean you are opted out from receiving direct marketing communications from Patch & Purr (if you have separately signed-up to that).
